Where do we begin?

"...He who began a good work in you..." (Philippians 1:6)

Beginning something new requires much energy and focus. It just does not happen. As Apostle Dave Viljoen says, “Nothing happens automatically. Everything requires spiritual energy.”

As believers we have a head start advantage. That is, we have Christ in us the hope of glory! We have the Spirit of God working in us to accomplish the purposes of God on the earth through us.

We are not alone in our endeavors. Not only is God with us, but we are part of Christ’s Body that has a collective purpose concerning the proclamation and demonstration of the Kingdom of God on earth.

So, God in us gets us started to what we are to be and do. We may have a long ways to go and a high places to climb that requires much energy and focus. However, starting our day in prayer is analogous to starting out with God… we will be someone, get somewhere and accomplish goals from this starting point.

God initiated the “start” in us. So, what are we waiting for? He is still at work in us from the start! “He who began a work in you… will bring it to completion at the day of Christ Jesus.”

In Christ we are destined to succeed… together!
